January Morning Walk

It's been chilly this week on the West Coast, but Johnny & I have toughed it up and taken several Morning Walks, despite the cold. I've wanted to take photos, and I finally brought my little camera along yesterday. You just never know what the morning will bring.

We always head out before sunrise (Why? Because.), hence the chill factor. The payoff is getting a chance to see some lovely, colorful skies:

Seeing the ocean turn a soft pink is always a plus, as well as just watching the waves crash.

Being here, as the sun comes up, near the ocean and beach and dunes...it's everything. We've been doing these walks for years and years, and it never gets old. Johnny's opinion on that may differ, but I'm always surprised by one thing or another, and I really enjoy this morning ritual.
As the sun comes up, it all changes so fast.

I miss the ocean when we're in Umbria, and love that we live over there near a large lake. These water features are huge in our lives, and always will be, I guess.

Anyway, just sending out some West Coast Love to you all...

...and him.

  Enjoy!
