By now, we are seasoned visitors to Venice.
Time and time again, we hear people complain about the crowds in this most beautiful of places.
I get it. There are zillions of people here, no matter when you visit.
Typical amount of people on one of the "main drags" in Venice. In fact, this isn't nearly as crowded as it can get. |
To really enjoy and appreciate this magical town, you gotta spent at least 3-4 days, or more, if at all possible.
Get out of the main areas of attraction, like St. Mark's Square, or the Rialto Bridge, and get lost. Just get lost...That's when you will find the sweet spots.
There are so many places with almost nobody around, or...better yet...just a few locals willing to sit and chat with you.
We like finding spots that seem like time has forgotten them.
They do exist in Venice. You just have to be brave and GET LOST!
Yes, there are actual parks in Venice. You can find them.... |
I know it's a place that people like or don't like, but if you have the time, you might just fall in love...
I can't wait to return in the fall. I love Venice. Sigh.
