Buh-Bye, Snow....

Well, as we wake to the sounds of birds and a beautiful sunrise, I am looking forward to a warmer day with an actual chance of blue skies and some sunshine.
The snow was a special treat, for sure, but we are ready to get into our routine of walking in the mornings and painting in the afternoons, which we have not been able to do yet. Granted this is only day four here in Umbria...there will be lots of time to get with the program. And there will be rain, wind and cold still. But today is starting out great-

We have watched the slow retreat of the chilly white stuff over the last two days....

Today the fields are just really soaked and muddy...this was the last of the snow.

It was a beautiful scene, though.

These three live here in the garden.
The snow is just mud now.

Watching the mist rising through the fields and hills yesterday was lovely. It was much warmer, and today should be even a bit nicer. We plan to take a morning walk to buy bread as soon as I finish this post and my coffee.
  Can't wait!

Misty magic.

Since we spent most of our time sitting with blankets in front of the fire for the last couple of days, we finished off what was left from our first day groceries. Bits of this and that made for a pretty good veg dinner...with more grilled bread, of course.

Managed to get a shot of the sunrise while making coffee this morning.
Ready to get going and take on this first Sunday!

Buongiorno!
