A Good Day One

Well, it sure is wonderful to be back at The Nut. After a great sleep, we woke up to zillions of birds doing their morning constitution. Singing, that is.

Along we go, happy to see sunshine!

For us, our morning constitution would be a Morning Walk, which we were happy to accomplish.
This was after a good cup of coffee in bed as the sun came up, and then some unpacking and general amounts of getting our shit together.
It will take another day or two, but we are well under way.

Morning Walk today was to a local veg and fruit vendor to pick up some roasted almonds, a favorite treat we only enjoy here...

  Along the way:

Early springtime flowering trees...

A most favorite view along our journey.

The road that leads to almonds.
Wonderfully roasted almonds. Yum.

Apple trees along the way.

After picking up a few things, we hiked on back to The Nut, and eventually headed back out, after enjoying an impromptu gathering which included several pals and a couple of bottles of Proseco.
One must be prepared for any encounter, I suppose...

  Meanwhile...

 The afternoon was looking exceptional.

I think I see a painting here...somewhere.

  More favorite views I've missed...

We had a simple dinner tonight. A salad including apples and cabbage and greens, along with the leftover pasta from last night which I used to make a delicious frittata...

Salad fixings getting ready to mix.

My Dear Readers know I've never met an edible that can't be made even better as a frittata, and leftover pasta is just about perfect. Not enough pasta for dinner for two persons.. is just enough pasta for a frittata.
  Just add eggs!

The eggs are vibrant here!

Just enough pasta left over. Whew.

That would be Parmesan cheese on top, before we head under the broiler for a minute.

Yes, please.

Perfect salad to join the party.

Yes, we ate the whole thing.t was only 4 eggs all together, with the pasta.
Perfection!

In between bites, we popped out to the terrace to enjoy the sunset.
Damn, it's good to be here again.

Early to bed, and a much deserved rest for both of us.
Before it's too late, I'll wish you all a good evening!
